1st Grade Moon Watch Project - Starting on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 Ms. Orban's first grade class begins the moon watch project. It begins with a new moon and will involve making observations about the moon and recording them on a sheet of paper. The results will be returned to school after one moon cycle. The assignment is for the student to look for the moon each day and count and record how many days from one new moon until the next. Before the students begin the project they must first make a prediction of how many days they think this will take. On cloudy days two websites have been identified so the students can refer to these sites and see an image of the day's moon. I'm sure this will be a fun and fascinating learning experience. We look forward to the results.
