Dear Parents,
It is very important that we have an accurate and timely count
of students who are planning on attending classes at St. Sylvester
School for the 2010-2011 school year. Staffing decisions, (Union
regulations mandate that I notify teachers of their status by
April 1), book orders, classroom locations, etc., depend upon
an accurate count. Therefore this "Re-Registration Policy"
will be in effect. We are asking for your complete cooperation.

RE-REGISTRATION POLICY
2010-2011 School Year
1. All tuition for the 2009-2010 school year must be paid by
April 30, 2010. Please notify the Parish Business Office if you
need an exception to this policy.
2. A re-registration form (attached) and a re-registration fee
of $50.00 per family must be paid by Friday, March 26, 2010 in
order for your child to be included in our enrollment for the
2010-2011 school year. This Re-registration fee is part of your
total tuition.
3. Failure to pay this re-registration fee by Friday, March 26,
2010 would mean that your child would not be guaranteed a spot
on their class list.
4. The first tuition payment for the 2010-2011 school year would
be due in July of 2010. July and August payments must be paid
by the first day of school in order for your child to attend classes
for the 2010-2011 school year.
5. Payments of 1/10 of your total tuition would be expected monthly
(July 2010- April 2011). Report cards will not be distributed
if a tuition account is delinquent by the end of each grading
period. Access to our computerized grading system will be blocked
until tuition payments are up-to-date.
6. Each family is required to submit the "Catholic School
Parents Memorandum of Understanding" each school year along
with their Re-Registration Form. (attached)
7. Families wishing to register for Preschool have different
forms to complete. If your child is NEW to our Preschool you need
to come to the Preschool Registration on Thursday, February 11,
2010 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Preschool Room. If your child
is moving from PreK-3 to Pre-K 4. they may PRE-REGISTER starting
now to avoid coming to the actual Registration night and to get
priority in our PreK-4 program for 2010-2011.
8. Families wishing to register for Kindergarten have different
forms to complete. If your child is NEW to our Kindergarten, you
need to come to the Kindergarten Registration on Thursday, February
25, 2010 from 7:00-8:30 P.M. in the School Library. If your child
is moving from PreK-4 to Kindergarten they may PRE-REGISTER starting
now to avoid coming to the actual Registration night and to get
priority in our Kindergarten classes for 2010-2011.
NOTE: Father John has asked me to inform you that tuition rates
for the 2010-2011 school year will be announced as soon as possible.
The finance Committee is working diligently to develop a workable
budget. Tuition will be announced in the near future. Thank you
for you cooperation and patience.
